Hannah Jane Boissonneault is a composer, songwriter, and performer from Clarkston, Michigan. Hannah specializes in electric bass and vocals. Hannah has performed at various venues, as diverse as St. Andrews Hall in Detroit and the Arts Beats and Eats Festival in Royal Oak.
With an immense passion for the contemporary rock industry, she has performed with many bands in the Detroit area. Hannah is an artist with Balaguer Guitars, and the lead vocalist and bassist of progressive alternative band “Blank Slate,” formed in 2016. The band released EPs "Animate" and "I Have Considered the Following" in 2017, and will be releasing three new singles in Spring of 2019. In the summer of 2015, Hannah traveled to Los Angeles, California to write and record three singles with multi-platinum producer Jeff Blue and composer Oumi Kapila for alternative rock band Blood and Wine, in which she was a member of for over four years. The three singles are currently available on all streaming platforms. During her free time, Hannah also enjoys teaching electric bass, beginner guitar, and piano.
Hannah is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition studying with Zhou Tian, and studying Jazz Bass with Rodney Whitaker at Michigan State University. This coming summer, she will be attending the Atlantic Music Festival as a student composer.
